Welcome to the Chiswick School and SchoolsMobile microsite. We firmly believe that keeping children safe online is a joint enterprise between the child, the school, and the parent. The risks of online use are widely known, and our school is taking extra measures to protect all our children, inside and outside of school. We need your help to achieve this by activating your license and safeguarding your child online on personal devices.
Below is information about the SchoolsMobile app, including the year 7 policy and installation guides. We hope you find this initiative exciting and we look forward to your ongoing support.

THREAT PROTECTION
Protect your children from malware and phishing attacks, cryptojacking and much more.
Threat Protection is always turned on for your child regardless of what settings you choose.
Our technology partner, NextDNS, uses the most trusted threat intelligence feeds that identifies millions of malicious domains. The feeds are updated in real-time. DNS questions and answers are analysed in a matter of nanoseconds, detecting and blocking malicious behaviour.
There is usually only a few hours between domain registration and the start of an attack, so our partner’s threat intelligence system is specifically built to catch malicious domains earlier than classic security solutions.
APP AND CONTENT CONTROLS
Ready-made settings based on common sense and age.
We have a range of settings that you can choose for your child, starting with an Under 9's setting all the way through to young adults - simply choose the right one for your child.
You can change it at any time and you don't need to be near your child's device for changes to take effect.
BLOCK CATEGORIES
Over and above all the specific apps listed below, whole categories of
web content are blocked for children under 18 years of age, namely:
Pornography
Gambling
Dating
Piracy (P2P)
...and depending on the age of your child Social Networks will also be totally blocked.

Our Threat Protection Only policy (18+) is also available in the application and can be used by adults who share their devices with children and want to toggle between the age appropriate policies using the simple drop down menu on your dashboard.
* IMPORTANT!!! Whilst we control the access to the above apps, you should continue to use the 'in app' controls that ensure that children are accessing only the right content for them. Our protection keeps children from malicious content but you still need to make sure that your children only have access to age appropriate content on apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney + etc...
Our service can be used in conjunction with other restrictions you may add a device level such as Family Link and ScreenTime.

During the following times those items marked in GREEN in the table above are available for use (if you have allowed them to download the apps in the first instance).
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to extend your chill time, log in to your dashboard, scroll down to Chill Time and click 'Change'. During holiday period we will activate more relaxed chill time periods.
